Publishing opportunities
Sports (ISSN 2075-4663) is an international, peer-reviewed open access advanced forum for publishing studies related to Sport Sciences. It publishes reviews, regular research papers and short communications. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced.

Student Levels
Levels of students
It is not mandatory to be a member of SCS to enroll in the course.
The same lessons, materials, contents and exams are guaranteed for all students enrolled in the CSCE-F course. There is no difference in service and preparation between the types of students, the only difference is in the final certification.
Graduated in Sport Science
After the exam the students graduated in Sport Science will receive the Official Diploma of the certification.
NON Graduated in Sport Science
An Attendance Certificate will be provided to non-graduate students.
Moreover, the students non graduated in Sport Science can take the Offical Diploma:
- by taking the exam after the course: the score will be saved and, with the Bachelor academic transcript and degree diploma, SCS will release the Official Diploma.
- by taking the exam after the finish of the Bachelor (when they became Students graduated in sport science).

SCS - CSCE – Recertification PROCESS
The sports sciences are in continuous evolution and its scientific development is becoming more important every year. Therefore, the Strength and Conditioning Society (SCS) believes that any student certified by the SCS continues to update their knowledge and skills through a recertification process. The SCS recertification process is implemented in order to provide up-to-date and ongoing education for members certified by the Strength and Conditioning Society in order to ensure the highest possible quality in the professional performances of our members.
The recertification process will occur over fixed periods of 5 years; those who obtained their certification in 2024 will have to recertify before December 31, 2029.
The price for recertification is €100 per cycle.
There are two forms of recertification:
Path 1 - Using continued education hours
40 hours minimum, from the list below
Hours through attendance: 2 hours per day.
- Attending workshops, conferences, seminars, congress, etc.
- Both through SCS and its partners or an unconnected organization (with approval).
- Evidence of attendance and numbers of hours required for non-partner or SCS events.
- Events must be related to certification.
Demonstration of expertise: 1 hour per 1 hour lecture.
- Speaking/hosting at related events and panels:
- Evidence of participation and copy of presentation required.
- Publication:
- Article in peer-reviewed journal: 10 hours.
- Article in another publication: 5 hours.
- Publication of a book chapter: 14 hours.
- Book publication: 20 hours as editor or main author; 5 hours per section author.
- Hours are accrued after proof of acceptance of the publication is presented.
- Work must be published within the current renewal cycle.
- Publication must be related to the certification.
Education.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required (Official Health Institutions): 10 hours.
- SCS-CSCE Level 2: 40 hours
- University:
- Master's Degree in High-Performance Sport: Strength and Conditioning (or related): 30 hours.
- Other related master's degree programs: 10 hours per semester.
- Hours are accrued after transcripts are provided.
- Internships:
- Minimum 100 relevant working hours in related fields: 5 hours.
- Additional 1 hour reward for every 10 hours worked over the minimum.
- Maximum 10 hours total.
- Hours are accrued after proof of internship is provided.
Path 2 - Retake the exam
Fee: 200 €
Renewal incentives:
- Renewal 10-12 months before expiry - 50% off fees.
- 5-9 months before expiry - 25% off fees.
- 4 months before expiry - 5% off fees.
- -5 months after expiry - € 25 additional fee.
- 6-11 months late after expiry - € 50 additional fee.
- 12+ months after expiry - retake course.
